1. Overview

Analytics Lens ("we", "us") connects data sources like Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Shopify, and Meta Ads to Google Sheets. This policy explains what information this website collects today, what the Analytics Lens Google Sheets add-on will access once it's live, and how both are handled. It's written to cover both because the same policy governs the marketing site you're reading now and the product it describes.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Through this website, today. We collect information in two ways:

  • Contact-form submissions. When you use the "Get in touch" popup (from a pricing plan, demo request, connector request, or the footer "Contact" link), we receive the name, email address, message, and the context tag (e.g. "Enterprise inquiry") you submitted.
  • Passive technical data. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which transmits your browser's IP address to Google as part of that request. We also read your browser's timezone and language settings client-side, purely to choose whether to default the pricing display to USD or INR — this never leaves your browser.

2.2 Through the Analytics Lens product, once live. The Analytics Lens Google Sheets add-on is still in development — it isn't available to install yet — but this policy already commits to how it will handle data once it launches, so there's no gap between what's promised here and what the product does on day one:

  • When you connect a source (Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Shopify, or Meta Ads), Analytics Lens reads only the reporting metrics and dimensions you explicitly select — for example, campaign spend, session counts, or order totals — and writes them into a Google Sheet that you own.
  • We do not read, collect, or store content beyond what's needed to populate the report ranges you configure — no browsing history, no message content, no account credentials (authentication happens via each platform's own OAuth flow; we never see or store your password).
  • Data flows from the connected source directly into your Sheet on each scheduled refresh. It is not persisted on our servers beyond the brief processing window needed to complete that transfer.

3. How we use it

Contact-form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry. Product data (once live) is used solely to populate the reports you've configured in your own Sheet. In neither case do we add you to a marketing list, sell your information, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

4. Google user data — Limited Use disclosure

Analytics Lens's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: data obtained through Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Search Console, or Google Sheets APIs is used only to provide and improve the reporting features you directly request; it is never used for serving advertisements, never sold, and never transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide the feature you configured (writing it into your own Sheet) or to comply with the law.

5. Cookies & local storage

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It stores one functional value in your browser's local storage — al_currency — which remembers whether you chose to view pricing in USD or INR. See our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown of what is and isn't stored, and why none of it requires a consent banner under current GDPR/ePrivacy guidance.

6. Third-party services & sub-processors

We keep this list to what's actually in use, and update it as the product grows:

  • Google Fonts — delivers this site's typefaces; see Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Hostinger — hosts this website and processes the contact-form mail relay; see Hostinger's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Workspace Marketplace — will distribute the Analytics Lens add-on once published; installation and OAuth consent are governed by Google's own terms.
  • Connected platforms (Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Shopify, Meta Ads) — act as your data sources, accessed only under the authorization you grant directly to each platform. We are not a sub-processor of these platforms; you remain the data controller for your own connected accounts.

We do not use a third-party contact-form service — submissions are emailed directly by our own server-side script.

7. International data transfers

This site and its infrastructure may process data on servers located outside your own country (for example, Hostinger's and Google's hosting regions). Where that involves a transfer out of the EU/EEA or UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers publish — including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable — as the transfer mechanism.

8. Data processing

The legal basis for processing contact-form data is your consent, given by submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry. The legal basis for processing product data (once live) is the performance of the service you've configured — reading a source you connected, into a Sheet you own. We do not use any data processor beyond those listed in Section 6, and we do not sell personal data. See our Data Processing Addendum for the terms we offer business customers who need one on file.

9. Data retention & security

Contact-form submissions are sent by email and are not stored in any database or file on our server — the email itself, in the recipient's inbox, is the only record kept. Product data (once live) passes through our systems only for the duration of each scheduled sync and is not retained afterward; the durable copy lives in the Google Sheet you own, under your control.

10. Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by using the "Get in touch" form on this site or emailing support@analyticslens.ai. For step-by-step deletion instructions — including how to revoke Analytics Lens's access to any connected account — see our Data Deletion Instructions.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and its data practices evolve — in particular, Section 2.2 will be revised to reflect the product's actual technical implementation once it's built and reviewed by Google, Meta, and Shopify. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
